Gregory J. Kaye

Dr. Gregory Kaye is a highly experienced optometrist with over 28 years of clinical expertise. He earned his Doctor of Optometry degree from the Illinois College of Optometry in 1996, after completing a Bachelor of Science in Visual Sciences in 1994. His foundational studies took place at The Ohio State University. During his training, Dr. Kaye completed clinical rotations at the Illinois Eye Institute and various externship sites, gaining extensive hands-on experience in eye care.

Dr. Kaye’s professional focus includes dry eye management, cataract and refractive surgery, ocular disease management, and contact lenses. His passion for advancing eye care is reflected in his involvement in clinical studies with leading industry names such as Alcon, Bausch and Lomb, and Johnson & Johnson. He is committed to bringing the latest innovations to Skyvision Centers, where he has been an original member of the team since its opening in 2005. Prior to joining Skyvision, Dr. Kaye practiced independently in retail optometry, honing his skills in patient care.

Dr. Kaye has proudly called Ohio home for his entire life and currently resides in Avon Lake with his wife, Mary. Now as empty nesters, they cherish family time with their three adult children— Adam, Andrew, and Lauren. One of their favorite traditions is their annual summer vacation to Hilton Head, where they enjoy the beach, bike rides, golf, and the occasional game of pickleball. Dr Kaye began playing golf at the age of 10 and shares his love for the sport with both of his sons, and still relishes the challenge of keeping up with them on the course.

An avid Ohio State football fan, Dr. Kaye is a proud season ticket holder, sharing this passion with his son Adam. Together, they cheer on the Buckeyes every season. Go Bucks!
